About me

Dr. Michael Flannery is a neurologist who cares for patients with headache disorders and conditions that cause headaches. He provides comprehensive care for persistent migraines, tension headaches, concussions, post-traumatic headaches, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias (a category of one-sided headaches), cranial neuralgias (head or facial nerve pain) and cranial neuropathies (pain or other symptoms from damage to certain sensory and motor nerves of the brain). He also has expertise in treating head and spine conditions involving blood vessels of the head and neck, such as reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (severe headaches from sudden narrowing of vessels supplying the brain), as well as intracranial hypotension (when a loss of cerebrospinal fluid leads to low pressure in the skull).

Flannery earned his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency at HealthOne Swedish Medical Center and a fellowship in neurology at UCSF.

Dr. Flannery has been a wonderful care provider over the last year, giving me details about care, what to expect from the botox, listening to any of my concerns, and just checking up on me in general.

DR Flannery listened to my concerns and issues. Doctor Flannery was very professional and kind, he answered all my questions and explained everything very well. I am very grateful for DR Flannery to take his time with me during the Zoom call. I would highly recommend DR Flannery to anyone that might be suffering from similar issues that I have been suffering from for over 2yrs.
