About me
Dr. Michael Flannery is a neurologist who cares for patients with headache disorders and conditions that cause headaches. He provides comprehensive care for persistent migraines, tension headaches, concussions, post-traumatic headaches, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias (a category of one-sided headaches), cranial neuralgias (head or facial nerve pain) and cranial neuropathies (pain or other symptoms from damage to certain sensory and motor nerves of the brain). He also has expertise in treating head and spine conditions involving blood vessels of the head and neck, such as reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (severe headaches from sudden narrowing of vessels supplying the brain), as well as intracranial hypotension (when a loss of cerebrospinal fluid leads to low pressure in the skull).
Flannery earned his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency at HealthOne Swedish Medical Center and a fellowship in neurology at UCSF.
