About me
Claire O. Ogee-Nwankwo is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients with urological cancers, including prostate and bladder cancer, working closely with a team of specialists to guide and support patients through the complexities of diagnosis, treatment, recovery and beyond. Ogee-Nwankwo loves helping patients understand their options, worry less, and feel confident in their decisions. Whether reviewing biopsy results, managing symptoms or serving as a sounding board, Ogee-Nwankwo's goal is to make tough times a little easier to navigate.
As a first-generation immigrant and woman of color, Ogee-Nwankwo is passionate about mentoring future leaders in the nursing profession and advocating for inclusive care that recognizes and respects all cultures. Ogee-Nwankwo is particularly interested in exploring disparities in outcomes among people with cancer in underserved populations and examining the role nurse practitioners can play in advancing equity and access to specialized cancer care.
Ogee-Nwankwo earned a bachelor's degree in nursing at Kennesaw State University and her master's degree in nursing at UCSF. Ogee-Nwankwo is pursuing a doctor of nursing practice degree, with a focus on health policy and leadership.
