Patricia Zendejas is a nurse practitioner who helps patients manage the side effects of gastrointestinal cancer and its treatments. She educates patients and their loved ones on optimizing their quality of life while undergoing therapy, as well as during recovery.

Zendejas earned her master's degree in nursing through UCSF's adult nurse practitioner program. She also has a master's degree in social work from Columbia University.

Zendejas belongs to the Oncology Nursing Society and American Society of Clinical Oncology. With a particular commitment to teaching nurse practitioner students, she volunteers as a faculty member for the UCSF School of Nursing.

A native of San Francisco, Zendejas grew up speaking both Spanish and English.
