About me

Peggy O. Wong is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients with psychiatric conditions. Her approach to care is grounded in a deep understanding of how cultural identity, family dynamics and social context shape mental health experiences. She has a special interest in immigrant and minority mental health, with a passion for promoting equity, access and culturally responsive care within diverse communities. She is a second-generation Asian American who brings empathy and cultural awareness to her practice.

Wong earned her master of science in nursing at Yale School of Nursing. During her training, she worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Haven, Connecticut, providing comprehensive mental health services to patients coping with trauma, PTSD and mood disorders. She then continued her work at the Yale Child Study Center, where she supported children, adolescents and families navigating complex emotional and behavioral challenges.
