Pei Chen, MD

Dr. Pei Chen is a geriatric and internal medicine specialist who cares for older adults with complex medical conditions. Her expertise is in optimizing the care of older adults living with cancer and improving their quality of life, particularly during and after receiving radiation therapy. She has special interests in addressing issues faced by older adults, such as frailty, falls and related complications, dementia, delirium and polypharmacy (using multiple medications at the same time).

Chen earned her medical degree from the University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School, followed by a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

In addition to caring for patients, Chen is passionate about medical education, especially in training the future workforce in geriatrics and supporting care partners.

Outside of work, Chen enjoys trying new recipes, eating new foods and traveling to new places.
