About me

Dr. Phuoc Le is a hospitalist, a specialist in the care of hospitalized patients. He has particular interests in patient safety, health care quality, health disparities and global medical education.

Le completed his undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College, with a double major in biochemistry and molecular biology and Asian and Middle Eastern languages and literature. He earned his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine. While in medical school at Stanford, he also obtained a master of public health degree, with a focus on global health, from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed a combined residency in internal medicine, pediatrics and global health equity at Brigham and Women's and Massachusetts General hospitals, affiliates of Harvard Medical School.

During his residency, Le worked with the nongovernmental organization Partners in Health (PIH) to provide equitable health care in Rwanda, Lesotho, Malawi and Haiti. He continues to work with PIH several months a year. He has also participated in community health and anthropological research in Tibet, China and Switzerland.
