About me
Dr. Paul Su is a pain medicine physician and anesthesiologist who cares for patients with various pain conditions. Keeping each patient's needs and goals in mind, he tailors a comprehensive treatment plan that integrates physical rehabilitation, medication optimization, complementary medicine therapies, pain psychology and pain-relieving procedures.
Su studies nervous system changes that occur after injury to better understand why neuropathic pain (nerve pain) occurs, with the goal of developing new treatments for chronic pain.
Su earned his medical degree at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed a residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in pain medicine at UCSF.

I love Dr. Su he is an amazing, wonderful Dr. He listened to all of my problems he explains them so that I understand what is going on and what will happen next to help with the problem he makes sure that I understand the procedure he will perform, and he makes sure that I understand the follow up care and appointment. Dr. Su took time to explain to us what was going on with my condition. Gave me options on what to do next. We spent a long time talking about what to do next and gave me encouraging advice about my concerns
