About me
Dr. Rachel Waldemer is a dermatologist who cares for patients with conditions affecting the nails, hair and skin. Her broad expertise ranges from skin cancers and autoimmune diseases to acne and rashes of all kinds.
In her research, Waldemer focuses on developing skin organoids, which are tiny multifaceted versions of organs that doctors can use to better understand skin diseases and potential treatments.
Waldemer earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago. She also earned a doctorate in cell and developmental biology at the University of Illinois. She completed a residency in dermatology at UCSF.
Outside of work, Waldemer is an aspiring gardener. She is also a mom of three.
