About me
Dr. Raymond Cho is a dermatologist and geneticist who is interested in a wide range of skin conditions, with a special focus on chronic rashes. He is passionate about understanding his patients' goals and working with them to tailor their treatment plans appropriately.
In his research, Cho utilizes emerging technologies to examine the molecular patterns shared by unusual rashes, with the goal of finding promising therapies for individual patients. His laboratory at UCSF has been recognized for discovering previously unknown genetic causes for squamous cell and basal cell cancers. His research has received funding from the National Institutes of Health, Dermatology Foundation and American Skin Association.
Cho earned his medical degree and his doctorate in genetics at Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in dermatology and a fellowship in molecular medicine at UCSF. He lectures at UCSF and at conferences in the U.S. and abroad.
