About me

Rosalind de Lisser is a nurse practitioner who specializes in providing mental health care. She aims to help women achieve their goals for health and wellness by partnering with them and their primary care team, addressing challenges related to mental health disorders including addiction. Her approach to care follows a trauma-informed model; she places safety, patient choice and voice, cultural humility (a process of understanding one's own cultural influences so as to better understand and respond to those of the patient), advocacy and compassion at the center of the healing relationship.

De Lisser earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master's degree in nursing from the University of Virginia. She is pursuing a doctorate in health services research from Vanderbilt University to further her work in understanding resilience in the workplace.

De Lisser is a member of the International Society of Psychiatric – Mental Health Nurses, Academy of Communication in Healthcare, National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties, American Interprofessional Health Collaborative, National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
