About me

Dr. Saman Kannangara is a specialist in infectious diseases. He cares for patients with skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, urinary tract infections, HIV, MRSA, post-operative infections, fungal infections, and general infectious diseases. He seeks to provide humanistic and compassionate care tailored to each patient.

Kannangara earned his medical degree at Drexel University. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, part of Rutgers Health, and completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Kannangara is the recipient of the subspecialties of internal medicine teacher of the year award at Easton Hospital. He is currently serving a two-year term in the house of delegates for the California Medical Association.
