About me
Dr. Samuel L. Washington III is a urologic surgeon who specializes in oncology. He cares for patients with cancers of the genital and urinary organs, including prostate, bladder and kidney cancers.
In his research, Washington studies patient outcomes after cancer treatment, looking particularly at how differences in treatment impact survival outcomes for individuals with genital and urinary cancers.
Washington earned his medical degree, completed a residency in urology and completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at UCSF. He also has a master of advanced study degree in clinical research from UCSF.

Dr. Washington is one of the most empathetic, conscientious, and knowledgeable physicians I've had the pleasure to meet. He spends as much time as necessary to explain and discuss your medical situation, and answer any and all questions you may have. I feel very fortunate to have him as my specialist. His staff is excellent as well!
