About me

Dr. Sara LaHue is a neurologist who cares for patients in the emergency department or hospital. She has expertise in a broad range of neurologic disorders, including neurologic emergencies that require active management in the intensive care unit.

In her research, LaHue studies delirium, a common complication of hospitalization characterized by confusion and inattention that can lead to a variety of complications. She is particularly interested in the intersection between delirium, cognitive health and aging. LaHue is also passionate about leading quality improvement initiatives, especially those that enrich the care received by hospitalized patients or enhance trainee education.

LaHue earned her medical degree and completed a neurology residency at UCSF, where she served as chief resident. She also completed a neurohospitalist fellowship at UCSF.
