About me
Dr. Shoko Emily Abe is a surgeon who cares for patients with breast cancer and other breast diseases. She takes a multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer treatment. Specializing in breast-conserving surgery, she uses plastic surgery techniques to reshape the breast and scar-hiding techniques, and she performs nipple- and skin-sparing mastectomies.
Abe's research interests include improvement in surgical techniques and new treatments for breast cancer.
Abe earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College. She completed a residency in general surgery at Drexel University and a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Levine Cancer Institute.
