About me
Tara Dela Cruz Liwag is a nurse practitioner who specializes in care for chronic kidney disease and kidney stone disease. As a certified nephrology nurse, she educates her patients about how to prevent progression of their conditions, including through dialysis. Her goals are to empower patients to manage their kidney health, helping them avoid the need for dialysis when possible, and to ensure those nearing kidney failure know their treatment options so they feel prepared for the future.
Liwag earned a bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of San Francisco, followed by a master's degree in nursing at Samuel Merritt University, where she was in the family nurse practitioner track.
Liwag is a Bay Area native and mother to a young daughter.
