About me

Tina Jimenez is a neuropsychologist who cares for adults with brain tumors, providing neuropsychological evaluations and collaborating with her patients to develop cognitive (thinking) strategies that support their treatment goals. She also helps patients and their loved ones navigate survivorship. Her overarching goal is to improve quality of life by providing equitable, culturally sensitive care that maximizes brain health and general wellness.

In her research, Jimenez focuses on how medical ailments affect cognitive, psychological and behavioral function, as well as how racial disparities affect the diagnosis of brain disorders. She is also interested in how culturally responsive services – which respect and incorporate an individual's beliefs and values – may improve quality of care and increase utilization of health care for underrepresented communities with a history of brain tumors.

Jimenez earned her master's degree and a doctor of psychology degree in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology, focused on geriatric care and neuro-oncology, at the University of California, Los Angeles.
