About me

Dr. Tina Shih, a neurologist at the UCSF Epilepsy Center, specializes in treating epilepsy in the elderly, managing patients with drug-resistant seizures and caring for patients who have surgery for epilepsy. She also has expertise in psychiatric conditions related to epilepsy.

Shih earned her medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine and completed an internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. After a residency in neurology at Columbia University Medical Center, she completed a fellowship in epilepsy at the Columbia Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. Her research interests include the use of antiepileptic drugs in nursing homes as well as racial and ethnic disparities in epilepsy.
