About me

Dr. Tina Shih, a neurologist at the UCSF Epilepsy Center, specializes in treating epilepsy in the elderly, managing patients with drug-resistant seizures and caring for patients who have surgery for epilepsy. She also has expertise in psychiatric conditions related to epilepsy.

Shih earned her medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine and completed an internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. After a residency in neurology at Columbia University Medical Center, she completed a fellowship in epilepsy at the Columbia Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. Her research interests include the use of antiepileptic drugs in nursing homes as well as racial and ethnic disparities in epilepsy.

      I HAVE GIVEN DRM SHIH INFO TO OTHER 40 PEOPLE THRU OUT THE YEARS. SHE IS THE BEST NEUROLOGIST IN THE BAY AREA AND TO ME EVER! SHE IS A JEWEL! EXCEPTIONALLY A GENIUS WITH THE BRAIN AND REALLY CARES ABOUT HER PATIENTS!!!

      I believe my Care Provider, Dr. Shih gives the best possible care at her disposal. She knows what's needed and takes the initiative to provide it; all in the interest of helping the patient to have a quality of life.
