Heart & Vascular Disease Prevention
On this page
The UCSF Center for Prevention of Heart and Vascular Disease cares for patients with heart and blood vessel conditions as well as patients who may be at risk of developing them. Our comprehensive approach to anticipating and managing cardiovascular disease centers on attentive, personalized care.
First, you’ll undergo a thorough evaluation. Our specialists identify factors that may raise your chances of developing a cardiovascular condition or contribute to its progression. Depending on your needs, we may also provide:
- Consultations with a dietitian
- Medication assistance from a pharmacist
- Exercise stress testing (a way to assess heart function during exertion)
- Referral to an exercise physiologist
To make our care easier to access, our cardiologists offer telehealth video visits as well as in-person appointments.
Our team will meet you where you are, with the goal of helping you live a long, healthy life. We look forward to working with you.
