Why choose UCSF Health for hypertension care?
High blood pressure (hypertension) is a common condition that increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease and other serious complications. If your hypertension has been difficult to control, we can help.
Our program is one of only a few in California dedicated to evaluating and treating complex forms of hypertension. We're experts in treating resistant hypertension, blood pressure that remains high despite taking three or more blood pressure medications.
We also treat people with secondary hypertension. This type of high blood pressure is caused by an underlying medical condition, such as kidney disease, hormonal disorders or sleep apnea.
At UCSF Health, you receive highly personalized, comprehensive care that includes the latest blood pressure therapies, remote monitoring and access to innovative research. We partner closely with you and your referring cardiologist to improve your blood pressure and support your well-being
