
Pulmonary Function Laboratory at Parnassus
The UCSF Pulmonary Function Laboratory at Parnassus provides comprehensive testing for patients with known or suspected lung disease. In addition to standard lung function tests, we offer a number of more sophisticated, specialized tests.

- Altitude simulation testing
- Arterial blood gas
- Bronchoscopy
- Exercise-induced asthma protocol
- Exercise study with arterial blood gases
- Methacholine challenge
- Oxygen prescription test
- Pulmonary function screen
- Six-minute walk test
- Spirometry
- Home spirometry monitoring
- Pre- and postoperative evaluation for lung transplant recipients
- Preoperative evaluation for lung volume reduction surgery
