Parnassus Campus
Parnassus Heights is UCSF Health’s original campus. It is home to numerous specialty care clinics, an emergency department and a 15-story hospital. Several UCSF research institutes and educational facilities are also located at Parnassus.
The campus is undergoing major upgrades. Slated to open in 2030, our new hospital at Parnassus will include many state-of-the-art features and allow us to serve more patients. Learn more about improvements underway at Parnassus.
Emergency and urgent care
Emergency Department Parnassus provides expert care for medical issues requiring immediate treatment, from heart attacks and strokes to deep cuts and broken bones. It is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
For less serious conditions that still need prompt treatment, Urgent Care Parnassus is available.
Pharmacies
Pharmacy Parnassus, located in the Millberry Union Building, offers comprehensive pharmacy services for people of all ages. You don’t need to be a UCSF Health patient to use the pharmacy.
Specialty Pharmacy Parnassus serves patients with complex or rare diseases that require specialized therapies. Its expert team trains patients to handle, store and administer these treatments.
Parking
Parnassus has several parking garages, with both self-park and valet options. There is no extra charge for valet service.
