Radiology Berkeley

Radiology Berkeley, located in our Berkeley Outpatient Center, offers a comprehensive range of imaging services to support the diagnosis and management of many medical conditions. We strive to deliver accurate, timely results along with a safe and comfortable patient experience.

Our imaging services

Our advanced imaging technologies include X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT, PET-CT, DEXA, and mammography.

Radiologists and other specialists use these tools to evaluate structures within the body and guide clinical decision-making.

X-ray

Our low dose digital X-ray provides quick, clear imagery for most bone and chest views. No appointments are needed and walk-ins (with a physician order) are accepted.

Breast imaging

We offer 3D mammography (tomosynthesis), which creates detailed images of breast tissue from multiple angles, as well as breast ultrasound and breast MRI. Mammograms can improve the detection of breast cancer, particularly in patients with dense breast tissue, and may reduce the need for additional imaging.

Bone density testing (DEXA)

DEXA scans are used to assess bone mineral density and evaluate fracture risk. This noninvasive test supports the diagnosis of osteoporosis and helps monitor changes in bone health over time.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses sound waves to produce images of specific areas within the body. Ultrasound images can be valuable in diagnosing and directing treatment for many diseases and conditions.

MRI and CT

MRI and CT scans provide high-resolution images that support the evaluation of a wide range of conditions. Our equipment is designed to optimize image quality and improve patient comfort, including systems with wider openings to help reduce claustrophobia.

PET-CT

PET-CT scans enable doctors to pinpoint the location of cancer in the body. They can provide superior image quality, more precise diagnoses, and collect images more quickly, which shortens the exam time.

What to expect

  • Most imaging exams are non-invasive and can be completed in a short amount of time
  • Board-certified radiologists interpret all imaging studies and collaborate with referring providers to ensure coordinated care

Convenience and access

We aim to provide accessible and efficient care by offering many services, all under one roof. Most insurance plans are accepted at Radiology Berkeley.
