Surgery Center Mission Bay

Surgery Center Mission Bay is an outpatient surgical care center for patients 18 years of age and older. We are located in the Bayfront Medical Building on UCSF's Mission Bay campus.
We perform many types of procedures at the center, including:
- Cataract and other eye surgeries
- Urological procedures, such as kidney stone removal
- Hernia repair
- Gallbladder removal
- Sinus, ear and other head and neck surgeries
- Thyroid gland removal
- Cosmetic surgery
- Biopsies
All our patients have a consultation with UCSF’s Prepare Program before surgery to ensure they’re ready for their procedure.
Our team works hard to provide a caring and comfortable environment. Our surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing and perioperative staff have many years of experience to support you throughout your procedure. We appreciate your trust in us.
UCSF's Mission Bay campus is home to both clinic- and hospital-based services and proudly offers top-ranked specialty care for children and adults. Among the many facilities here are UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco, the UCSF Bakar Precision Cancer Medicine Building, and the UCSF Joan and Sanford I. Weill Neurosciences Building. Our newest addition, the UCSF Bayfront Medical Building, brings adult primary care, urgent care and specialty care together under one roof.

The Mission Bay campus provides several parking locations. Standard rates apply to both self-park and valet – there is no additional charge for valet service. Visit UCSF’s Campus Life Services website for details on parking options at Mission Bay.

The pharmacy accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare, Medi-Cal and commercial plans. (Note: Some contracts with insurance plans are pending, so coverage may not yet be available.)
