Secure access to your patients' medical records

UCSF MD Link provides doctors with secure, full access to UCSF patients' electronic medical records, including a real-time connection to laboratory, radiology and pathology reports.

This handy tool also allows providers to efficiently make online referrals and send messages to UCSF staff. Doctors can place orders for lab and radiology services, and receive real-time patient event notifications.

Will I be able to access my patient's results if I don't use MD Link to refer a patient?

Regardless of how you refer a patient to UCSF, you can use UCSF MD Link to access his or her results as long as you are linked to the patient in the UCSF MD Link system. Patients' primary care physicians are automatically linked.

What do I do if I can't find a patient on UCSF MD Link?

Contact the UCSF MD Link Help Desk at (415) 514-8790, or send a message requesting patient access using UCSF MD Link's in-basket messaging feature.

Can my staff also access MD Link?

Your staff may request access by filling out an application.

Does my MD Link account expire?

UCSF Security may disable MD Link accounts with no recent usage. UCSF does not recommend MD Link access for community providers and staff who would not use MD Link on a regular basis.
