About me
Amber Richardson is a speech-language pathologist who cares for patients with cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders, including acquired (not present at birth) and neurodegenerative conditions. She is passionate about improving quality of life for her patients.
In her research, Richardson focuses on motor speech disorders (when neurological problems impair the movements necessary for speaking). She also evaluates factors that affect recovery for patients who develop cognitive-communication disorders following a stroke or traumatic brain injury.
Richardson earned her master's degree in audiology and speech-language pathology at California State University, East Bay. She earned a clinical doctorate in speech-language pathology at Northwestern University.
