Amy Schwartzburg is a nurse practitioner who specializes in caring for patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). She works with patients who need urgent, follow-up or disability care for MS, and she conducts neurological exams for patients who are participating in clinical trials (studies to evaluate potential new therapies). She also performs lumbar punctures, a diagnostic test for infections and disorders of the central nervous system.

Schwartzburg earned her bachelor's degree in biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She earned her master's degree in nursing at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.

Schwartzburg has been working with MS patients since 2004.
