Dr. Breyer is indeed an outstanding surgeon in his field of specialties. He was kind and understanding enough to accept to see me and do the procedure himself. In addition, he reviewed my MRI Images and radiologists' reports on an emerging mass on my left kidney. He performed an exceptionally expert procedure on me with no pain, discomfort or complication and made it much more easier than I expected. Dr. Breyer shared the result with me, explained options for treatment of OAB , included my preference in choosing the option, explained clearly the instruction.Above all, Dr. Breyer referred me to one of the best and most experienced urology oncology surgeons at UCSF , Dr. Oshido, for review of my kidney case and treatment proposal. In short, Dr. Breyer is outstandingly expert in his fields of specialties, impressively knowledgable, very caring of his patients, very friendly , and a most valuable asset to the UCSF urology department. I am so happy and privileged to be his patient. Thank you Dr. Breyer!

Dr Patel was outstanding. Took time to review things and get to know my case and its somewhat long history. He also clearly brought experience to bear in terms of explaining what we were seeing in the examine room (trace blood after the catheter pull) and what to expect in the near future around healing. Loved the mirror recommendation. Loved the answers to my questions and his clear enthusiasm for his work.

    Jun 06, 2023
Dr. Breyer is highly skilled, experienced, smart. I don't feel like he's engaged with how I feel about my problem, or he's not letting me know that he is. He seems to evade giving precise answers to my precise questions. I'm trying to be involved with my care, to be prepared for a visit, to make the right decisions, and take responsibility for the outcome. I've brought up issues and Dr Breyer doesn't seem to address them directly. It comes across as evasive, I do think he mentally processing what I'm saying, he's just not overtly showing concern.
