About me
Dr. Bruce Cree is a neurologist with a special interest in multiple sclerosis. He treats patients with multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optics, transverse myelitis and other autoimmune and central nervous system disorders. Cree currently serves as the clinical research director at the UCSF Multiple Sclerosis Center.
Cree's research focuses on the role of genetics in multiple sclerosis, the immunology of neuromyelitis optica and developing new treatments for multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica through clinical trials.
Cree received his medical degree and doctorate in biochemistry from UCSF. He completed his neurology residency at Columbia University followed by a neurology fellowship at UCSF. He also earned a masters in advanced studies in clinical research from the department of epidemiology and biostatistics at UCSF.
Cree is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Neurological Association and the San Francisco Neurological Society. He is an associate professor of neurology at the UCSF School of Medicine.
