About me

Dr. Deepal Chhaganlal is a family medicine specialist who provides primary care for adults, including a range of preventive medicine and treatments. She enjoys partnering with patients to address metabolic health through individualized lifestyle counseling and long-term behavior change strategies. She is passionate about women’s health, particularly contraceptive management (including IUD and Nexplanon placement), perimenopausal care and reproductive health counseling. She also performs in-office procedures such as joint injections and dermatologic interventions.

Chhaganlal earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in Antigua and Barbuda. She completed a residency in family medicine at Mercy Medical Center Merced.

Outside of work, Chhaganlal trains in boxing and values the focus, resilience and discipline it cultivates. She also enjoys traveling and staying active, embracing movement as an essential part of overall well-being.
