Comprehensive gynecologic care

Our areas of expertise in gynecologic care include:

• Women's primary care. A collaborative team of family physicians and nurse practitioners offers complete well-woman care. We provide preventive care, contraceptive counseling, chronic disease management and behavioral health support.

• Gynecology. OB-GYNs and nurse practitioners address every aspect of female reproductive health, offering routine exams and screenings, family planning services, menstrual disorder treatment, menopause care and more.

• Gynecologic oncology. You receive expert diagnosis and treatment using the latest tools and therapies for cervical, ovarian and uterine cancers. UCSF Health is among the nation's top centers for gynecologic cancer surgery.

• Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Our specialists offer laparoscopic, robotic and hysteroscopic procedures for complex gynecologic conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts and disorders affecting fertility. Minimally invasive surgery helps you recover faster and with less pain.

• Urogynecology. Doctors, surgeons and physical therapists at the UCSF Center for Urogynecology and Women's Pelvic Health provide consultation, evaluation and treatment for pelvic floor disorders. They specialize in pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, urinary and fecal incontinence, vaginal fistulas and all conditions affecting the bladder and reproductive organs.

Advanced pregnancy care

Our obstetrics services include:

• Routine obstetrics. We offer a full range of preconception, pregnancy and postpartum services, from prenatal screening and diagnostic testing to breastfeeding support,

• Labor and delivery. Our Birth Center offers family-focused care from a compassionate team of obstetricians, midwives and nurses. They help you have an individualized, safe and rewarding birth experience.

• High-risk pregnancy care. Perinatologists (maternal-fetal medicine specialists) at our Center for Complex Obstetric Medicine care for women and fetuses with health conditions that could affect pregnancy or delivery, such as diabetes or heart disease.

• Fetal Treatment Center. Our Fetal Treatment Center handles the most complex fetal conditions, including genetic diseases and heart conditions. UCSF Health is world-renowned for fetal surgery — many fetal surgery techniques developed here are now used worldwide.

• Postpartum care. We provide emotional health support, counseling and care coordination after pregnancy through our Perinatal Wellness Program.

Reproductive endocrinology and infertility

UCSF Health is consistently ranked among the top fertility clinics in the country. We offer a variety of advanced fertility treatments and family-building services for individuals and couples, including in vitro fertilization (IVF), egg freezing and reproductive surgery.
