Dr. Douglas Goodin is a neurologist and an internationally renowned expert on multiple sclerosis (MS).

Goodin divides his time between patient care, clinical research and teaching. His research focuses on understanding genetic and environmental aspects of MS epidemiology as well as on developing and assessing new treatments for MS.

Goodin earned his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine. He then completed a residency in neurology and fellowship training in clinical electrophysiology at UCSF. He also has a master's degree in molecular biology from Purdue University.

Goodin is a professor of neurology at UCSF.

    Dr Goodin always makes me feel as I have really been taken care of totally properly. I am aware that the disease can not be cured but I know he will help me not hurt and that helps more than I can say!

    I adore Dr. Goodin-he is by far the best Dr. Ive ever had. He listens and I never feel rushed or like he has limited time to assess me and address my questions. As a care provider myself, I know how rare this is. He's amazing.

    The best part about my visit is we discussed issues I experience and Dr Goodin listens and repeats them back to me in a recap before I leave. It shows me he listens to what I say and I appreciate that.
