I really appreciated the fact that this provider accepted my lived experiences as truths and didn't attempt to dissuade me in one way or the other. She was very easy to talk to and was sympathetic to some of my experiences with previous medical visits.

Excellent health advice Dr Christy had reviewed my records ahead of the appointment she understood my concerns and provided solid advice.

Dr. Christy is a wonderful doctor. She's kind personable knowledgeable skilled with procedures and has a really notable good bedside manner. I had an IUD placed and Dr. Christy was so reassuring gentle and communicated throughout the procedure to let me know what was happening it put me at ease and instilled confidence that things were going well. She was so kind and thoughtful In her interactions and performed frequent check-ins during the procedure to assess how I was feeling. I never felt rushed in getting my questions answered and found her responses to be informative and also collaborative. It seemed very patient-centered and trauma-informed. Her patients are very lucky to have her as their doctor! I feel lucky that she is my doctor and that is probably the first time I felt that way while visiting an obgyn office for what it's worth.

Dr. Christi 10/10 she was amazing. Her explanations were very clear any questions I brought she clarified explained and let me know the differences between the different types of treatment options if needed on the road. She was proactive in offering medications that I would potentially need. Her notes in my chart also very clear and we went through them through the appointment as well. She followed up on a previous referral on my behalf and sent me up to schedule my follow up appointment. She was fantastic.

I worked in healthcare for 40 years much at a major Eastcoast academic center. Dr. Christy was truly superb.

Dr Christy has excellent bedside manner

The physician was very compassionate and spend time to listen to my concerns. Although I am of caucasian origin I noticed that African American OB/GYN are more compassionate than their white colleagues. In previous years a white OB/GYN at UCSF made a painful exam was not friendly and rushing through the appointment.

Dr Christy was very warm professional and caring. I felt seen and safe.

Explanation to my questions were not detailed enough to make a decision therefore I had to explicitly communicate what would be helpful; however even then I could see the provider was inexperienced.

Doctor explained everything very well and I appreciated her referring me to a specialist

I can't tell you how comforting it is to talk to a Black woman doctor! I was able to receive her information without having to filter it i.e. it was so much easier to tell her what was happening with me and I was assured that she was giving me the best treatment.

I was super impressed with how calm the whole team was. Dr Christy was wonderful and took the time to listen to all my questions. The medical assistant who did my intake was the same. Great team!

First time MD sensed my anxiety about exam and used Lidocaine!

Dr. Christie was WONDERFUL. She was really genuinely kind listened to me to hear me (not just to pretend that she was listening or "go through the motions" but actively listened) and she didn't rush me or give me a sense I was taking up her time. She was also very empathetic and compassionate. And she didn't dismiss my feelings or concerns. She is a WONDERFUL doctor. Wow.

I honestly feel like I should be having some in person pre natal appointments; all of my friends did so when Pregnant. Dr Christy didn't seem to think this was too important

There is still a lot of confusion over getting a follow up ultrasound. And not enough explanation of what's going on with my results of the scan

No real sense that she had actual informed knowledge of my situation or care. She kept referring to what other patients had told her to do in my situation. Instantly lost confidence in her for that. Also said it's just part of life and getting older and culturally she couldn't understand why I had questions around my body changing

Dr. Christy was kind and compassionate. She immediately put me at ease and made me feel comfortable to tell my story. UCSF is lucky to have such a wonderful physician.
