Gynecologic services
Our gynecologists care for women of all ages. Whether you're navigating a chronic condition, such as endometriosis, or need guidance choosing a birth control method, we're here to help. We also offer well-patient visits, where we screen for cervical cancer and perform pelvic and breast exams.
Care for sexual health concerns
Our OB-GYNs help you find solutions for sexual health concerns, including pain during sex, low sex drive and vaginal dryness. We offer effective treatments, such as medication, hormone therapy and minor surgical procedures.
Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS)
We help you manage gynecologic conditions, such as fibroids, endometriosis and adenomyosis. We may offer medical or surgical treatments for these conditions, tailoring a treatment plan that's right for you.
If surgery is the best option for you, our specially trained surgeons may use a minimally invasive approach, which typically leads to shorter recovery times.
Prenatal care
If you're planning to get pregnant or are expecting, our obstetricians offer expert care through every stage of your pregnancy. We help you deliver your baby and support your recovery after birth.
At UCSF Health, midwives are part of the obstetric team. Certified nurse-midwives are registered nurses with additional training in midwifery care. You may choose to see a midwife for your prenatal care.
Prenatal diagnostics
UCSF Health has several Bay Area locations offering prenatal diagnostics, including comprehensive ultrasound screening and genetic testing for fetal conditions. We use advanced technologies and procedures to give you precise results.
Our genetic counseling services are available in-person or virtually. We help you understand genetic test results and identify next steps.
We're one of the only hospitals in the U.S. offering whole genome sequencing. This advanced test can detect genetic disorders in a fetus or baby with unexplained health complications, guiding you and your doctors to the most effective care decisions.
Fetal treatments
Our fetal treatment experts include some of the most experienced fetal surgeons in the world. If your baby needs surgery before birth, we use less invasive techniques, such as fetal endoscopic surgery, to safely care for you and your baby.
High-risk pregnancy care
Our maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists provide expert care for people with high-risk pregnancies. Our complex obstetric medicine team closely monitors you during pregnancy and helps you achieve the best possible outcomes for you and your baby.
Perinatal services
Adjusting to life with your newborn can be overwhelming. Our comprehensive perinatal services program connects you to the care, resources and support you need after welcoming your baby. The program is open to UCSF Health patients with Medi-Cal insurance.
