Dr. Andrew Murr is a general otolaryngologist whose focus is rhinology (conditions involving the nose). He chairs the UCSF Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Murr's research interests include new technologies for treating sinus disease and the role of fungus in sinus disease. He also studies patient outcomes after treatment for sinusitis.

Murr earned his medical degree at Hahnemann Medical College (now Drexel University) and completed a residency in otolaryngology at St. Louis University. He has served as director of the department's residency program and as an advisory college mentor in the medical school.

Murr has been a member of the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators since 2003.
