Dr. Diana Thiara is an internal medicine doctor who provides primary care to adults. In addition, she specializes in caring for patients who are overweight or obese, and has a particular interest in helping them focus on nutrition and lifestyle adjustments to optimize their health. She serves as medical director for UCSF's weight management program.

In her research, Thiara focuses on developing lifestyle modification programs for patients who are overweight or obese.

Thiara earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at UCSF.
