After taking 90 minutes to see me my doctor saw me for 5 minutes and told me that everything is normal and so I end the appointment. I DO NOT PLAN TO RETURN TO UCSF AND PLAN TO RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC TO ANYONE.

Making appointments are difficult unless you have already started with the doctor

This was just a postop. The operation went really well and the results seemed excellent. So everyone was in a good mood

Not happy with them. Late response to my call

Dr. P. Seemed to be in a hurry and slightly confused about the tests that had been done when she saw me. I trust her but I felt rushed during my visit.

Dr. Parikh is wonderful! She really cared about helping to minimize/manage my eye problems. She listened gave feedback and suggestions to help my blepharitis from now until my next visit scheduled in July. I couldn't be more impressed with her and her bedside manner!Love her!

Dr. Parikh did not go out of her way to explain the YAG laser procedure or the option the first time back in 2020 when I had the cataract surgery.

The scheduling for my procedure was only average. The nurse/scheduler made NO inquiry about my insurance/Medicare reimbursement nor any explanation about getting prior approval before my procedure scheduled fie the following week. In other words there was no liaison between the provider and my insurance to make sure I as patient would have prior knowledge of the associated out-if-pocket costs. This leaves me me with no choice but to inquire myself a huge loss of time and energy for me. Poor overlook here!

Dr. Parikh and the other doctors working under her provided thoughtful care.

Dr. Parikh appeared annoyed with me and made me feel like she did not care about me. Instead of scheduling me with an optometrist she scheduled me with a PA.

    All great

This doctor has been great in the past.think this is a one off situation. Appt got hurried a bit.Perhaps she was delayed in surgeryall I needed was to understand the delay..would have been much better. It was not the delay as much as the disregard of the delay.

No problem with the care providers!

I was told during my visit that the surgery is now considered risky as the cataract had expanded very rapidly and contains a lot of fluid. There is a possibility that I would require a second surgery to successfully remove the cataract. She explained the surgery well and gave me confident that it will be successful. However the inability to schedule an appointment and the months it took to follow up was likely what caused the condition to get worst to this point.

I had an appointment on February 18th at 2:30 pm at the ophthalmology clinic and waited for 43 minutes before someone attending me at around 3:14pm. I was checked by the nurse for about ten minutes. At 3:25pm I waited until 4:12pm to have a doctor-in-training to check my right eye. After about 6 to 7 minutes I was asked to go to another room to take a fundus photograph. I waited until about 5pm and Dr. Parikh entered the consultation room. She gave me a fairly simple examination of my right eye and she claimed that told me the fundus edema had healed without letting me look at the picture taken from fundus photograph. This made me wonder if the fundus edema in my right eye really disappeared. I requested for eye drops for dry eyes but she said that I did not need one. I questioned her about the degree of astigmatism in my right eye and she gave me no answer. I asked her why the lights looked like small fireballs at night and she said that this was a side effect after surgery and it would disappear after six months and my eyesight would be clear. She also said that I had to wear glasses for the rest of my life and there was no remedy. In general she did not recognised this operation as a failure. For this appointment it took me almost three hours to see the ophthalmologist and I could not get any treatment. The waiting time took two hours and I was sent away after the doctor gave me a few words of advice.

Dr. Parikh has been following the growth of cataracts in both of my eyes. She is an excellent Opthomologist. She is very clear on what needs to be done & when. .....I face cataract surgery soon.

FYI I RARELY recommend providers to my friends and family even if I really like the provider for myself. I feel that's a really personal decision which people need to make for themselves.

Dr. Parikh is a highlly competent ophthalmologist. She did a good job listening to my concerns and being careful with the exam (press exam of retina). However the session felt rushed and I was a bit uncomfortable with the "scribe" being there on an iPAD. I felt I had more to say but she kind of rushed out.

Not told me who to contact if I have continuing symptoms thumbthumbs yet I keep getting sent to all these doctors and nobody is following up with me all it's doing is adding me more frustration and I believe the narrow optometrist is the person I need to see.

Provider seemed to have little concern regarding remedying the traumatizing painful unmedicated event in recent surgery. Was "unable" to provide a plan acceptable for folliwing identical surgery and could not assure me anesthesiologist would be present in next surgery nor explain why no one planned for appropriate anesthesia for breakthrough surgery pain. Provider appeared not committed to comfort or assuring she could handle appropriate care future procedure.

I'd like to have a better idea of which labs are doing research into NAION repair and if there are any trials underway outside of UCSF.
