Dr. Qi Quan Leong is a specialist in infectious diseases who cares for patients in both the hospital and the clinic. With a special focus on caring for patients living with HIV, he oversees a program providing injectable PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) and ART (antiretroviral therapy). He is also involved in antimicrobial stewardship (managing antibiotic use to prevent germs from developing drug resistance) and infection control strategies in the hospital.

Leong earned his medical degree at Sidney Kimmel Medical College (formerly Jefferson Medical College). He completed a residency in internal medicine at York Hospital, followed by a fellowship in infectious diseases at Westchester Medical Center.

This provider works with UCSF through the UCSF Health Community Medical Group, a multispecialty group connecting doctors and practices throughout the Bay Area.
