About me

Dr. Vimal Krishnan is a pathologist, a specialist in examining samples of body tissues and fluids to help diagnose and monitor diseases. He specializes in performing fine-needle aspiration biopsies (using a thin needle to remove a tissue sample for analysis); cytopathology (analyzing cells for signs of disease); and evaluating abnormalities of the endocrine system and of the head and neck.

In research, Krishnan studies abnormal growths of the thyroid and salivary glands, with the goal of improving diagnosis and care for these conditions.

Krishnan earned his medical degree at the University of Montreal, where he also completed a residency in anatomical pathology. He completed a fellowship in cytopathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
