Dr. Eugene Carroll Groeger is a vascular surgeon who cares for patients with a broad range of conditions involving blood vessels. He is particularly interested in caring for patients with cerebrovascular disease (conditions that affect blood flow to the brain), aortic aneurysms (weak areas in the wall of the heart's main artery), peripheral vascular disease (reduced blood circulation most often affecting the legs) and venous disease (weak or damaged veins that limit blood flow). He is also passionate about providing effective vein and artery access to facilitate dialysis for patients with chronic kidney disease.

Groeger earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in general surgery at UCSF Health St. Mary's Hospital, followed by a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Iowa.

A lifelong outdoorsman, Groeger was raised on a ranch in Colorado, went to school in Texas, and lived in Alaska before settling in California. He enjoys skiing, fishing, horseback riding, and exploring the West and beyond with his family.
