About me
Dr. Gadi Maayan Eshed is a neurologist who specializes in caring for patients with movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease and other forms of parkinsonism, tremor, dystonia (uncontrolled muscle contractions), functional movement disorders and related conditions. He is particularly interested in deep brain stimulation (DBS) as a treatment for some movement disorders that cannot be sufficiently helped with other therapies.
In his research, Eshed is focused on leveraging advanced DBS systems and brain signal analytics (electrophysiology) to improve outcomes for patients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, while advancing mechanistic understanding of brain function.
Eshed earned his medical degree from Tel Aviv University Gray School of Medicine in Israel. He completed a residency in neurology and a fellowship in movement disorders at Tel Aviv-Sourasky University Medical Center.
Outside of work, Eshed enjoys hiking, running and spending time with his family.
