About me
Dr. Heather Huddleston is a specialist in reproductive endocrinology (hormonal function) and infertility. She cares for patients with a wide array of reproductive and fertility concerns. She has special interests in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), recurrent pregnancy loss and uterine disorders, including Asherman's syndrome (a condition involving scar tissue in the uterus). She also has expertise in techniques for diagnosing and treating complex uterine causes of infertility, including hysteroscopy, in which a thin, lighted tube is inserted into the vagina to allow examination of the cervix and interior of the uterus.
As director of the UCSF PCOS Clinic and research program, Huddleston oversees multiple research projects focused on improving medical understanding of PCOS. She also conducts research on recurrent pregnancy loss and treatment approaches for uterine factor infertility (abnormalities of the uterus that interfere with pregnancy). She has spoken on her findings all over the country, and her research has been widely published in scientific journals.
Huddleston earned her medical degree at Harvard Medical School. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, followed by a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Huddleston is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr Huddleston is very devoted to evidence based practice. However, in the fertility world, where patients like me have experienced many losses and complications, I would appreciate that she be more forthcoming and open about experimental treatments and approaches that many other clinics use more regularly.

Dr. Huddleston was excellent and she had actually read through my case history unlike some other doctors who don't really take the time to read what you've completed.

Dr. Huddleston is EXCEPTIONAL. She treated me with such respect, skill, kindness and compassion. Even though she is not my doctor and we met only briefly in the preop area, I instantly felt like she had been a good friend for many years. I could tell she cared deeply both about me and abut providing me the best care. She took great pride in her work. What great features to have in a physician! My recovery was quick and easy. I am so grateful, this experience was best in class.

I feel extremely fortunate and well taken care of to be treated by Dr Huddleston. She is extremely knowledgeable but also sensitive when explaining and treating my condition. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone struggling with similar fertility issues.
