She went through the process like a script, very fast and without explaining details. I felt very rushed and each questions that I had, I felt irritation from the provider to have to answer! Answers were very point to point without further explanation. After the procedure she didn't mention when Is ok to get up and leave, she didn't even explain why I should be expecting in the next hours and 24 hours. I happened to ask something regarding what she mentioned before leaving the room and she only answered very shortly just that one.

I am in pain after the exam. I emailed but haven't heard back yet

Dr. Jamie Lee is the absolute best provider I have ever seen. I saw her for endometriosis pain after YEARS of being dismissed by doctors. She has an incredibly trauma-informed approach to gynecological exams. I've never been able to successfully get a pap smear because of pain, and Dr. Lee was the first doctor to get me through it! She went at my speed, allowed me to consent to everything she did, and had all the pain relief tools ready for immediate use. She is a thoughtful, compassionate, highly skilled doctor that I would recommend highly to anyone looking for a gynecologist!

Excellent and enlightening experience - Dr. Lee is very easy to talk with and explained and educated me about so many things (women's aging issues, etc.) my past OB/Gyn doctors did not. I would highly recommend her to friends and family!!

Dr Lee may be one of the best doctors I've ever seen in my life. I've been avoiding going to the OBGYN for a few years because of a bad experience and this doctor was so kind, courteous, really listened, made suggestions, adjusted based on things I said, and really made time for me in a way that made me feel seen. I immediately met up with a friend and told him all about her and how I thought every woman should change their doctors immediately to see Dr. Lee in the future! That's how good it was.

My appointment felt extremely rushed. I think the doctor was with my for less than 5 mins and when I started asking questions she was standing up and walking out the door. The explanations felt very rushed and no time was taken to ask me about my concerns, etc.

Dr. Lee is amazing. I love her. She was so lovely and knowledgeable. She listened and affirmed my concerns, was careful in her examination of me, and incredibly knowledgeable about her field. I immediately felt that I was in good hands with her.

This was my first poor experience with an OB at UCSF. Dr. Lee had an overall kind and professional bedside manner, but she was clearly rushed and did not provide adequate time for my appointment. She probably spent less than 3 minutes in the actual room with me-- I don't know if she even sat down. I would say this is unreasonable for any patient, but especially given this is my first full term pregnancy and this was my first 36 week appointment. I was especially disappointed with the bedside ultrasound. She confirmed the head was down but it was so quick I didn't even get to see the monitor. She also did not discuss the possibility of early labor or a post-due date induction with me. I also didn't get my After Care Summary for 10 days after my appointment, when I'd been able to see for days that I was Group B Step positive in my test results. Again, not ideal for a first time mom to have to wait that long to hear from her OB about something that impacts her labor plan and the health of her baby. For these reasons, I changed my 38-week appointment that was scheduled with Dr. Lee to another provider.

Dr Lee listens well and takes her time to explain everything for patients like me to understand what's going on.
