Dr. Janet Chu is an internal medicine specialist who provides primary care to adults. She is dedicated to partnering with her patients and empowering them to achieve their health goals.

Chu's research focuses on how factors at the individual, health care system or neighborhood level can lead to disparities in care delivery and patient outcomes. As an advocate for equitable care, she works to develop programs and services that can be incorporated into the clinic, with the goal of tackling the root causes of health differences in communities.

Chu earned her medical degree at UCSF, where she also completed both a residency and a fellowship in general internal medicine. She has a master's degree in clinical and epidemiological research from UCSF and a master of public health degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
