Dr. Janet Lee is an endocrinologist who cares for both children and adults with disorders of the endocrine system, the network of glands that produce and release hormones. She has a special focus on metabolic bone disease and gender-affirming medical therapy.

Lee's research focuses on improving gender-affirming medical therapies. In particular, she seeks to better understand how these therapies affect the skeleton in transgender and gender-diverse youths.

Lee earned her medical degree and a master of public health degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in adult and pediatric endocrinology at UCSF. She also completed a master of advanced study degree in clinical research at UCSF.
