About me
Dr. Jeffrey W. Ralph is a neurologist who specializes in diseases of the nerve, muscle and neuromuscular transmission, the nerve activity that leads to muscle movement. He is an expert in the category of nerve damage called peripheral neuropathy, with a particular interest in neuropathies that result from immune system activity. In 2004, he became director of the Neuropathy Center at UCSF Medical Center, founded in part with funding from the Neuropathy Association. In addition to treating patients in the clinic, he performs electromyograms – diagnostic tests that record muscles' electrical activity – including such specialized tests as single-fiber electromyograms and multiple-channel recordings for analyzing abnormal muscle tone.
Ralph completed a neurology residency as well as fellowships in neuromuscular medicine and clinical neurophysiology at UCSF. His research has addressed treatments for neuropathy caused by HIV and AIDS.

It would be nice if my doctor prepared for the visit prior to logging on. He needed time to get up to speed and recall where we are in my treatment.
