Lauren Alexander is a nurse practitioner who specializes in diagnosing and treating adult patients with a wide range of disorders of the digestive tract. Her interests include general gastroenterology diseases, inflammatory bowel disease and intestinal motility disorders. She considers it a privilege to work with patients and their families and is committed to providing patient-centered care that involves listening to, educating and involving patients in the care process.

Alexander earned her master's degree in nursing at UCSF. She belongs to the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, American Association of Nurse Practitioners and California Nurses Association.

In her free time, Alexander enjoys hiking and bird-watching. She has a passion for music and the arts.
