About me
Mariano Wechsler is a physical therapist who cares for patients with a wide array of sports and other orthopedic injuries. He collaborates with his patients to create treatment plans centered on their needs and goals. His care incorporates a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, strength training, therapeutic exercises and functional movement.
Wechsler's research focuses on using video technologies to improve access to physical therapy, and he studies how social and other factors characterizing communities lead to disparities in care. He also investigates treatments for frozen shoulder (when shoulder stiffness and pain restrict the joint's movement).
Wechsler earned his doctor of physical therapy degree from UCSF and San Francisco State University's joint program. He completed a residency in orthopedic physical therapy at UCSF.
