Dr. Megan Mahoney is a family medicine doctor who provides primary care for people of all ages. She endeavors to deliver compassionate services that focus on individual needs and enable patients to reach their health and wellness goals.

Mahoney's academic focus is developing approaches to team-based primary care that empower patients, health care providers, and communities in the U.S. and internationally.

Mahoney completed her medical degree and residency in family medicine at UCSF. She serves as chair of the UCSF Department of Family and Community Medicine.

    Dr. Mahoney took the time and effort to go back through my prior labs overtime and noted a number of items that needed follow-up that I wasn't aware of.     I met D. Mahoney for the first time. She was very professional and caring. I appreciated that she took my health care seriously and important for my well-being. I could not see my regular PCP, whom I respect highly. Being seen by Dr. Mahoney's care added to my trust in the physician care at the Lakeshore Clinic. I will recommend her to my friend who is searching for a PCP.

    Dr. Mahoney always discuss my test results with me expeditiously; nprovides additional recommendations and/or referrals if need be. She is very attentive to my health concerns; she is very thorough, courteous and pleasant. She always takes her time - I never feel rushed when I am with her. I wish all UCSF physicians are like Dr. Megan Mahoney.
