About me
Dr. Michael Chang is an optometrist whose care starts with providing comprehensive eye exams, which detect common correctable refractive errors, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. In addition, he diagnoses and manages a variety of eye diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and dry eye. He enjoys teaching patients about eye health, believing that patient education is a crucial step in preventing vision loss.
Chang earned his doctor of optometry degree at the UC Berkeley Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry & Vision Science. He completed a residency in ocular disease at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he treated and managed complex ocular conditions in older adults.
Outside of work, Chang likes to stay active and unwind through hiking and swimming.
