About me

Dr. Natasha Sosa is a pediatric neurologist and neuromuscular specialist who cares for children and young adults with a variety of neurological conditions affecting the nerves and muscles. She specializes in neuromuscular conditions such as spinal muscular atrophy (breakdown of nerves controlling muscle movement), muscular dystrophy (progressive muscle breakdown), myasthenia gravis (breakdown of communication between nerves and muscles), myopathy (diseases affecting the muscles), and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (group of nerve disorders causing muscle weakness and loss of sensation).

Sosa is particularly interested in transitional care, helping young adults adjust to adult neurology clinics once they have aged out of child neurology clinics. She is also involved in educating future neurologists and neuromuscular specialists.

Sosa earned her medical degree at UCSF. She completed a residency in child neurology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, followed by a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at UCSF.
